About the Practice

I am a qualified Family Systemic Constellator (FSC), trained with the Centre for Systemic Constellations UK, and  Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner (SEP), trained and accredited by SOSInternationale. I currently assist on the Somatic Experiencing® training in England and Croatia. I am a member of the Complementary Therapists Association (CThA) and the Somatic Experiencing Association UK (SEA). I have worked extensively with Basque shaman Manex Ibar since 2012 and in 2019 I assisted Dr. Peter Levine and Betsy Polatin in their workshop Trauma in the Public Eye; exploring how SE® can help performing artists become more authentic in the delivery of their artform.

In my practice, I fuse learnings from a decade of spiritual self-development, plant medicine, somatic sensing, voice-work, dance, body release, and trauma healing with visualisation techniques, touch, talking, and movement therapy. My artistic approach and sensibility merge traditional SE® trauma-therapy tools and knowledge of the wider systemic field with a deep bodily wisdom of movement and performance of the self. I also facilitate group processing sessions for artistic collectives, including dance and theatre companies, academic programs, start-ups and businesses seeking to develop and enhance team dynamics. My current research focuses on integrating trauma and systemic awareness within the arts.

I often use bespoke sculptures with my clients, as a way of articulating stories to help them arrive to new meanings and outlooks on life. Sessions will predominantly involve verbal talking, but may also include non-verbal voice-work, touch and movement if necessary. When physical contact is involved, I work within clear protocols around touch work. These can add value when paired with visualisation techniques or when working with physical symptoms and boundary-exercises. Oftentimes a session may call for bodily releases of movement, unblocking energy within the nervous system that may have been frozen or stuck. There is no prescribed way a session will develop, and so I always seek to hold an open, welcoming, and safe environment for clients. As a queer and neurodiverse individual myself, I especially welcome those who identify as LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergant.

For several years, I have been working with performing artists and individuals with movement practices. This has allowed me to integrate Somatic Experiencing® and Systemic Family Constellation methodologies into dynamic one-to-one and group sessions; tracking the story of the nervous system through an encouragement of movement and affective expression. I often work with individuals who seek to re-establish contact with their bodies and felt sense, as well as those experiencing anxiety, stress, physical and chronic symptoms, birth trauma, ancestral trauma, conflicts and relationship issues.
