Touchybumps
I have often longed for tarot readings where I could take something home with me afterwards. Something that could fit in my pocket or purse, a token of rememberance for the lessons and insights learnt that day. The other thing I longed for was to experience a reading where I could spatialise the story, see it from different angles, touch the archetypes, walk around them, get real close to them and then far away from them.
In 2016 I embarked on a 2-year journey of translating, transforming, transmutating the Major Arcana of the Tarot into a family of 22 sculptures, which eventually gave birth to the Touchybumps. Since then I have been offering readings, both using tarot divination and family constellations, with these small, hand-held, yet surprisingly weighted creatures, telling stories from different perspectives, scales and weights.
